Product description

Versatile climbing shoes

If you’re the type of person who enjoys pushing yourself beyond your limits, then the Niad VCS from Five Ten is the way to go. Thanks to their stable construction and excellent grip, the high-performance climbing shoes can be used on granite, limestone, sandstone or in the climbing gym. Plus, they’re sensitive enough for you to edge on small ledges.

A great balance between comfort and power transmission

Thanks to the excellent transfer of tension from the heel to the front of the foot, you’ll have lots of support on the smallest edges. Additional support is provided by the moderately stiff sole, while the slightly asymmetrical last ensures you remain comfortable. In addition, the signature Stealth C4 sole gives you the friction you need to keep moving forward. Even the toes are covered with rubber for an enhanced grip and protection. The all-round Niad VCS will help boost your performance on both short and long climbs.

The highlights at a glance:

  • A versatile all-rounder for climbing crags and indoors
  • Comfortable construction to support your feet
  • Durable workmanship
  • Hook-and-loop straps allow for a great hold and a quick on/off

Very comfortable and good for long training sesh.

Been using them for ~6months, good for slabs, not the greatest for small holds.
If you choose the right size, you might even last whole session without even removing them. Sole also seem to last long. Overall very good product, especially if you have wide feet.

Advantages
Good fit
Good grip
Disadvantages
Not sturdy

Quality lost

The anasazi used to be my fav shoe for years(15 or so), mostly because of the excellent rubber quality. It had its issues, namely the heel and the stink, but it as always performing at the highest level.
I had heard since adidas bought 5.10 it had lost some quality. But didn't think it had lost sooo much. The current rubber is terrible, doesn't grip and waists away in no time. In under a year i had to resole twice!!
Resoled with unparalell and now feel closer to its former glory.

What do you think about that?
