The main compartment is made from Tin Cloth with an oil finish that protects your gear from rain, sleet and snow. Tin Cloth is a tightly woven canvas that has been treated with a paraffin wax formulation to ensure maximum water repellence. Durable Rugged Twill forms the back wall, reinforces the bottom and provides additional structure and durability. The padded shoulder straps are made from Tin Cloth and lined with Moleskin, a cotton fleece that prevents slipping and improves breathability.

In addition, the lined main compartment of the Journeyman is closed with a solid brass zip. The padded back section protects against sharp or bulky objects, and the padded inner compartment offers space for a 15-inch laptop. Lastly, additional details such as the carrying handle and the snap button above the protective edge of the main compartment round off the well-thought-out design of the backpack.
