Product description
Functional climbing backpack with a roll-top closure
The compact Black Ice 45 from Exped is a must-have for your next via ferrata or on the way to the boulders. On the outside, you can attach your ice tools with optional buckles and there are additional loops for your climbing gear. Plus, there is a weatherproof zip pocket on the outside to quickly store your map or guide. You can use the compression straps over the roll-top to compress the luggage in the main compartment to keep your load compact and out of the way. As for the wide, padded straps and removable foam back panel, they ensure comfort. The load is evenly distributed thanks to the close fit, the padded, removable hip pads and the height-adjustable sternum strap.
Weatherproof
The outer material is made of waterproof, durable RIPSTOP fabric. The main compartment is also fully taped. This makes the Black Ice 45 a good choice even in heavy rain. Plus, PFC-free materials were used, which is better for the environment. As always, the Black Ice 45 from Exped has a stylish design that will perfectly round off your casual outfit.
The features at a glance:

This backpack is lightweight and waterproof, but due to the lack of hipbelt (the webbing straps are only really functional for keeping the pack close to the body while climbing), all the weight goes on the shoulders. Not the most comfortable for a 3 hour approach!
