Tecnica Ski and Winter Boots

The company group developed from the brand sharing the same name, which started out as a manufacturer of work shoes and trekking boots in the 1960s. In the 1970s, the focus was placed on the sports market segment and with Tecnus, they developed the first plastic double-foamed ski boot.
Under the Moon Boots brand name, winter boots were also invented, based on the design of astronaut boots in the 60s. The boots immediately became a must-have item and became THE shoe for aprčs-ski and winter hiking. Whenever winter sports enthusiasts gather on the slopes, rinks or toboggan runs to cheer on their stars, the chances are they were wearing Moon Boots by Tecnica.

The 1980s: The Tecnica range expanded into outdoor shoes.

Over the course of the following decade, Tecnica expanded into the outdoor shoe segment, where today the collection ranges from trail running shoes and classic hiking shoes to robust trekking boots. Through close cooperation with top-class international athletes, Tecnica is able to continually improve the technology, in order to offer athletes the best possible products.

The 1990s up to today - from the brand Tecnica, a group of companies emerged.

The 1990s were an exciting time for Tecnica. It began with the acquisition of Lowa in 1993, whereby one of the leading German manufacturers of mountaineering and casual shoes joined the Italian group . This was followed only five years later by the acquisition of Dolomite, a respected Italian shoe company. In subsequent years, Tecnica also acquired the company Nordica and the Austrian ski brand Blizzard, as well as Rollerblade and Nitro snowboards.
