It features a mesh back for ventilation and comfort. Plus, there are padded straps and a hip belt to distribute the weight over the whole body.
Practical features
What else does the backpack have to offer? In addition to its spacious main compartment, there is a front compartment that is also relatively large and perfect for tucking away a thin jacket. The two pockets on the lid also offer space to safely store handkerchiefs, keys and other small items. Another great feature includes the reflective details that allow you to be seen in low light conditions. The backpack also has a rain cover to protect the Shield Plus 35 against the elements. This is a great and super versatile backpack!

For a 38L backpack I expected it to be really spacious inside, whereas it still feels a bit tight and crammed to pack. It's very heavy even when it's empty. The back is solid, this is good because the bag contents won't 'stab you' in the back, but means you can't fold the backpack at all. The top is flimsy, and shows a beige part that did not appear on the images. The backpack is not rainproof unless you apply the rain cover. However, the material is nice and the straps are fairly comfortable - that's about it for me so I'll be returning.
