Product description
Lightweight and casual down jacket
Super warm, lightweight and offers plenty of freedom of movement: the Brenta Jacket from Salewa is perfect for active winter tours!
The down jacket features a lightweight, tear and abrasion-resistant outer material that’s equipped with a long-lasting, water and wind-repellent DWR finish. The high-quality duck down fill has a down-to-feathers ratio of 80/20 and a fill power of 550 cuin that offers good insulation. The strategically placed baffles provides a chic look and prevents the down fill from slipping. The Responsible Down Standard label ensures that strict animal welfare guidelines have been maintained during the production of the down.
In addition, thanks to the athletic cut and the special sleeve construction with gusset inserts, you’ll be able to move around freely. The waistband and cuffs are elasticated, as is the attached hood, ensuring a pleasant fit. To prevent the cold wind from getting inside, it’s equipped with a storm flap under the front zip.
The advantages at a glance:
- Long-lasting water and wind-repellent properties due to the DWR coating
- Good thermal insulation thanks to the quilted down fill
- Extra freedom of movement thanks to the gusset inserts
The Salewa Committed symbol indicates products that meet strict internal criteria at Salewa with regard to environmental and social responsibility. A Salewa product must meet two mandatory criteria and at least one additional criterion.
The mandatory criteria include: 1. Chemicals verified: more than 90% of the product weight meets at least one of the following criteria: a) the main fabric (for the entire product) has been chemically tested according to Oberalp's chemical guideline or b) the main fabric is bluesign-certified. 2. Factory monitored for social standards: the second obligatory criterion is that the factory where the product has been manufactured has been audited for social standards and working conditions by external audits.
The additional criteria, depending on the product, include upcycling, recycling, certain material compositions, PFC-free coatings or responsibly sourced down.

This is what other customers say:
Have not tried it in the mountains yet. I saw some reviews that it fits tight, it was great for me (L for 189cm, 93kg). Feels warm for its' very small weight. A con is that is seems that is does not fold into one of its' pockets and does not come with a carrying bag.

In my opinion i have found this jacket really good. It fits very well and snug in the right areas. It feels soft. It is very warm and works well with a baselayer, even on a cold day. I really like this jacket and really like the brand. I have however after about 6 months of use noticed a few wear and tear areas. I am monitoring these to make sure there isnt any further damage which is a massive shame. I do however think this is a great light weight jacket, packs down well too. Recommended.
