The pad is very nice to sleep on, and easy to in- and deflate.
You dont need to halve the mat when packing it If you are just hiking to the next camp site. The straps on the holster do a fine job of holding the mat closed.
To sleep most comfortably, inflate the mat 100% and deflate until you can lie well-cushioned on your side, without your hip touching the grund. Then you get a nice night's sleep without back ache. I weigh less than 70 kilogrammes, so I cannot speak for heavier users.
Notably, the pad is also very silent. It does not crinkle and crackle when you shift position at night.
I ordered the large model. It weighs 690 grammes. The small model (350 grammes) with a long thin foam mat might accomplish the same things, while saving weight.
