Scott - Pack Patrol E1 30 Kit - Avalanche airbag

The Scott Pack Patrol E1 30 Kit is an avalanche backpack designed primarily for ski touring and freeriding. It comes equipped with the Alpride E1 airbag system, which is a relatively lightweight electronic airbag system. The great thing about it is that its performance and charge of the capacitor is resistant to the cold, so it shouldn't be affected by low temperatures. The trigger is mechanical, and it takes about three seconds for the airbag to inflate. The system can be charged via a USB cable, while 2xAA batteries ensure that the system doesn't die when not in use. This allows the airbag system to last for several weeks. If you don't want to use batteries, you should charge the system the evening before your next ski tour to ensure optimal performance.
