Product description

Lightweight, durable and versatile – the Scarpa Rebel Lite GTX is made for mountaineering!

Whether you’re doing a via ferrata, trekking or mountaineering, these shoes can handle any surface. The boots are outfitted with a waterproof GORE-TEX lining that prevents moisture from getting inside and breathable materials to help lead moisture to the outside to where it can evaporate! As for the stylish nylon and suede upper, not only is it durable and abrasion-resistant but it also enhances the lining’s breathability properties.

In addition, the sock-like design along with the elastic tongue and collar allow the boots to mould to your feet and prevent pressure or friction points from forming!

Some other great features include the non-slip Vibram outsole, the stable midsole that provides excellent traction, a crampon socket at the heel, a heel wedge that cushions impacts and a rubber guard that provides excellent protection against dirt and debris.

The versatile and lightweight Rebel Lite GTX mountaineering boots are ready for all types of walks and via ferrata!

Great mid-weight technical B2 boot

I have owned a number of pairs of these boots. Great for long trecking in summer and for scrambling, particularly in changing seasons when a little colder. Great grip.
Perfect for summer alpine trips - I have used many years in Mont Blanc Massif.
Perform well with crampons and also in snow if nor too deep or too cold when warmer option boots may be better.

Waste of money.

I decided to treat myself to a pair of these as a 4 season boot, which they claim. I hadn't had them long before they leaked when it rained. I tried treating them with water proofer but to no avail. I only used them to walk the dog on footpaths and started wearing my wellingtons when rain was forecast.Well, i put up with them for just short of 4 years and decided to contact Scarpa. I was given a whole load of excuses, about my foot not being suited to the last of this boot, my big toe lifting when I walked which had breached the goretex liner. Apparantly I should have had a proper fitting for my boots, it does not say this on the Scarpa adverts or the website where I bought them!!! Anyhow, the best I was offered was 40% off a new pair. I don't want any Scarpa products ever again. Buy some Hoggs of Fife Munro boots, cheaper & better.

Really comfortable and light

One of the most comfortable mountain boots that I have ever owned - you forget you are wearing them most of the time. After one month of near constant use some of the stitching is coming away where the toe of the boot flexes - not as robust as a leather boot, but that's okay. No waterproof lining on the tongue, so not completely watertight. No insulation, so very cold if standing on snow on a belay. Great for summer mountaineering and also works well with crampons. Sounds like lots of negatives, but the comfort and fit is fantastic. I will definitely buy another pair
