Product description

In celebration of Scarpa’s 80th birthday, the brand has released the Furia 80 in extremely limited numbers. This high-end climbing shoe represents the state of the art, featuring innovative and exclusive technologies and boasting a tasteful design. The shoe’s build is similar to that of the Furia S, which with its progressive design and ultra-sensitive last is primarily geared toward ambitious sport climbers and boulderers. One of the more interesting technological features of the Furia 80 is the unique Integral Power Rib X tension system. The tension band runs from the heel over the entire sole and - unlike the Furia S - extends over the big toe. This results in increased sensitivity for precise grip on the smallest holds and added power through the toe. For additional precision and stability without sacrificing sensitivity, Scarpa opted for a minimalist Flexan midsole. The Surround Rubber Tension Toe Rand System with M50 rubber combines elements from the Drago with those from the Furia S. The heel features sticky rubber as well, so you can heel hook to your heart’s content!  The Wave Strap system allows for quick and easy adjustments for an individualised fit, regardless of your foot shape. What a way to celebrate a birthday: the Furia 80 Limited Edition from Scarpa.

Great shoes

Been using these as my indoor pair for 5 months or so now, really enjoyed them. Super comfy now they're broken in, and the little toe patch has made them last a bit longer than normal Furias, shame it isn't on their other shoes.

If I can get another pair once these have had it I will, but based on the exclusivity I'll have to opt for the normal Furias.

These shoes perform exceptionally well indoors, toehooks feel like glue. The straps can be a bit awkward to get tight but once they're perfect heel hooks feel solid too.

Due to the softness of the rubber I could imagine these would perform really well on smeary routes outdoors, but would get destroyed quickly. I use the Scarpa Instinct VSR for outdoor bouldering as they're soft but not Furia soft.
