Product description

When it comes to dangerous situations, you'll need to have everything handy and you need to be able to rely on your equipment entirely!
The Pieps shovel C (available in two sizes) is a moderately weighing, robust shovel with clever details for use in snow! This telescopic shovel has a C-grip which enables you to grip it safely and shovel with a great force even when you're wearing gloves. In order to provide the best grip, the upper handle as well as the lower stem are rubbered. Due to the automatically snapping Quick Lock system the shovel is assembled in no time. This mechanism also allows for twisting the stem and attach it to the shovel blade at a 180 degree angle. Thus, you get a steep angle due to which the shovel can be used as a pick to build a bivouac. The shovel has a total length of 88 cm, or 90 cm respectively, and the stem can be minimized to 50 cm. Since it can be removed completely it's also replaceable if needed. The shovel blade made of tough aluminum is ergonomically shaped with grooves and, thus, has a higher rigidity. The stable upper edge has tread grooves in order to ensure a safe step when you're wearing ski boots. On the lower side, however, the edges are sharpened to break into even hard snow with ease. If you need to transport something you can even build a rescue sledge with the Pieps Shovel C. The skis can be attached to the shovel blade with a cord which is pulled through the openings on the sides and then firmly kept in place with the stem.
