Perfect for hills....I have the ultra light version which is a fav jacket worth every penny. But I am hard on outdoors clothing and needed a robust jacket that is light enough for hills.....

This is a classic hardshell. No, it's not super breathable, but it does have pit-zips which help, but really it's not designed to be breathable.. it's designed to be lightweight and to keep the worst of the weather out, which is does very well. All the little aspects which I have found annoying on other jackets are solved in this one, like; the hood, the draw cords, the cuffs etc are all well designed.
Highly recommend.
