Product description

Climbing shoes for challenging routes

Difficult rock climbing routes are the favourite terrain of the Ozone HV climbing shoes from Ocun, as this is where it can show off its edge power! On tricky footholds, it stands like a rock and you can even take micro-steps with precision. Thanks to the pre-tensioning in the arch and heel edge, power can be perfectly transferred to the tips of your toes. A 3D-shaped midsole supports the toes, while the XS Grip sole from Vibram provides all the necessary traction. The HV version of the Ozone is somewhat bigger and a great option for climbers with wider feet. In addition, these shoes feature a greatly asymmetrical cut that nestles snugly around your foot with its elastic tongue. They also boast an aggressive downturn, where the toe area is anatomically shaped for upright toes.

Optimal power transfer, excellent adhesion

Its 3-force system provides torsional rigidity and ideal power distribution. An optimal footing on ledges is not everything, however. The Ozone HV also master heel and toe hooks perfectly, which makes them versatile climbing shoes, even for higher levels of difficulty. Plus, the seamless heel construction gives your feet a snug fit so nothing slips while your hooking. A solid grip for your toe hooks is provided by the grippy rubber overlay in the toe area. The Ozone HV climbing shoes are your perfect partners to tackle the next level in challenging rock climbing routes!

The advantages at a glance:

  • Master narrow footholds and challenging routes thanks to high pre-tensioning
  • HV version is specially made for wider feet
  • Seamless heel area and abrasion-resistant toe area
  • Practical hook-and-loop fasteners and heel loops

Amazing for wider front foot

The first vegan friendly bouldering shoe I found with a comfortable wide front foot and toe box, that also fits perfectly at the heel. Definitely recommended.

It's great for small edges and overhangs. The grip of the rubber is average though. Not ideal for slopy footholds.

Finally a great fit for wide feet & great rubb

I have very wide feet and they are slightly different, both pretty square but my right foot is a bit more Grecian with a longer 2nd toe. I have had a nightmare trying to find a pair of shoes that fit, break in pretty easily and have rubber that I like. I have the Evolve Shaman Pro also, they fit well but I find the Trax SAS rubber too hard for indoor (and they take forever to break in).
I am old now and squeezing my feet into a pair of tiny shoes like I used to 20 years ago is neither necessary or good for my aging feet! Gone through a few options, but I like these a lot and that is after 2 sessions :-)
Also, these look like they can be resoled pretty easily (Shamans are not possible at all...). All in all, I am really happy. Good support, snug fit, feel good on edges and sticky enough to smear on.
If you have wide feet that are fairly flat/square, then these are a good option. For size comparison, I wear a UK 11 in the Shaman and found the 10.5 to be a good fit for the Ozone HV. I have a pair of Scarpa Instinct VS-R in an 11 but they just feel a bit floppy and the 10.5 hurts my big toe because of the toe box shape.
Also like the 2 velcro strap system, feels more secure than the Instinct's single strap and the strap on the Shaman is a bit weird and looks like they will not stand the test of time.
