Product description

Nomen est Omen: The expedition sleeping bag Glacier Expedition by sleeping bag specialists Mountain Equipment is intended for polar regions, overnight stays in high camps or trekking in icy regions. Expedition models always have a slightly wider cut than normal winter sleeping bags, so that you can get into your sleeping bag in your full gear in urgent cases of hypothermia or exhaustion on your return to the high camp.

The heat insulation provided by the fill with 1352 g of certified, humanely derived, premium duck down is so good that it can no longer be tested by EN standard 13577. That means a warm, cosy and comfortable sleep even at extreme temperatures.

Trapezoid-shaped chambers ingeniously combined with parallel chambers ensure that the down doesn’t shift and that the thermal properties always remain constant. The outer material Drilite Loft 50D is water and wind-repellent and highly breathable, while the inner material is comfortably soft.

The full length, water repellent 2-way zip has been insulated with a thick, down-filled wind shield chamber that lets nothing in or out. The anatomical adaptation and good down fill protect the parts of the body that are particularly exposed to cold, such as head, neck and feet.

What could Amundsen, Scott, Mummery, Hillary and co have achieved with a down sleeping bag like the Glacier Expedition by Mountain Equipment? None of these adventurers and explorers had anything like that comfort.
