The designers of the Nordwand MIPS Helmet by Mammut were probably thinking “better safe than sorry”. It’s no wonder that this helmet has the latest technology to give your head optimised protection against falling rocks or in the event of a fall. The in-mold design makes this helmet both robust and lightweight, while the EPS core and Kevlar reinforcements provide optimal protection against hard impacts and shocks. The helmet has been reinforced at the sides, on the forehead and on the back of the head so it can also be relied on to withstand side impacts. The MIPS system rounds off the overall construction. It ensures that rotational energy, in particular, is better absorbed and therefore kept away from the brain.
