Product description

High-performance climbing shoes for challenging goals

If you're looking for stylish climbing shoes that deliver high performance without sacrificing comfort for your narrower feet, then the Drone Low Volume from Mad Rock are the perfect choice! These shoes offer you top performance and support you both on hard bouldering problems as well as on demanding sport climbing routes. Even when worn for a long time, you can concentrate fully on your performance without having to constantly think about your aching feet. Their colourful design gives them a healthy dose of style and makes them eye-catching on the wall or the crag!

Asymmetrical shape and an aggressive downturn

The collar is made from a microfibre fabric that will perfectly hug your feet. Plus, the material is breathable and improves your foot climate. The formation of pressure points is avoided as much as possible due to the adaptability of the microfibre. Moreover, the construction of the heel was designed with flexibility in mind to offer you enhanced comfort. Its asymmetric shape and aggressive downturn allow you to transfer your power to the smallest of footholds and ledges. While standing and taking steps, your feet are effectively supported by the sole. In addition, the outsole material boasts particularly high traction to provide grip in any situation on the wall or on the crag.

What’s more, these shoes are made from vegan materials! What more could you ask for?

The highlights at a glance

Question from Paul

size

the problem is always the size; in normal shoes my size is 41. With the Miura LV is 39, with the 5.10 Hiangle is 41 ⅓

Hi Paul,

"The problem is always the size." You're right!

Mad Rock state the following:

"Until you consider yourself at the intermediate or advanced stage, nearly everyone buys a pair too small at some point. This is often on the advice of shop assistants (who, if they are any good, will be intermediate/advance & therefore down-sizing) or friends who insist that "at least one size down" is the way. This stems from the days of climbing in hiking shoes, and obviously down sizing helped tremendously there. Having said that tighter is ultimately a better performer when you start pushing your grade limit."

Basically, to understand if these are for you or not , the only way to know will be to try on. Probably best to order a couple of pairs to try at home and return those that do not fit for a refund.

One customer review mentioned......"The Drone LVs have no empty space, and fit perfectly with only moderate stretch. They are pre-downsized-- for those that prefer a slightly tighter fit I recommend a maximum single size downsize from your typical street shoe."
