The Drone Low Volume 2.0 from Mad Rock are climbing shoes for specialists. With a very large and extremely grippy toe rubber, they’re ideal for technical bouldering and climbing.

Aggressive construction

The shoes have an aggressive last with a strong downturn. The special concave sole shape transfers power efficiently to the toes for precise and stable footing on the smallest of footholds.

Grippy sole

The proven medium-density Science Friction 3.0 rubber outsole provides excellent grip and makes it easier to stand on friction. It’s also extremely durable.

Narrow fit

The Low Volume version of the Drone 2.0 has a slightly more compact toe box and a narrower heel area. This makes this model particularly suitable for climbers and boulderers with narrow feet.

Sizing nonsense

Size 42.5 (left) and size 43 (right), as you can see, the og drones were much smaller than the new ones, which are huge and clunky. One whole size is advisable when downsizing from the og drones, maybe even more. Terrible experience.

Hi José,

The length of both will be the same but the HV is to suit a High Volume / wider foot and the LV , Low Volume will suit a slimmer foot.

Thanks for the response! I have the LV version of the OG Drone but not sure if I should try the HV version, just wondering if the diference is really all that noticeable
