My boys just loves Lowa - and me too

One of the best trekking boots for kids. My sons completed Fjallraven Sweden in these (110 km rough terrain) and many more challenging trips, via-ferrata (klettersteig), bike trips... anything you can imagine - also they are good for everyday use too. Pair these with good merino socks and your children are ready for anything.
We have had several different models like Cadin, Kody and Ledro. All very similar in terms of performance, little differences in design. They are waterproof for a year or maybe 2, not after that - does not matter how you clean and proof them. Through their lifetime while the sole wears out other parts does the same. Stiches are breaking, recently a sole started to separate on one - but, this was after 3 years of intensive use as both 2 of my sons were using the same boot after each other. One children cannot kill these, simply because they outgrow it in 1-2 years. A second kid can really wear it down but that is pretty much outperforms my expectations. Other children boots like Keen and TNF perform similarly while Hoka and Aku for larger kids / teens are much worse - a brand new Hoka broke apart on the same Fjallraven trip. So these are pretty good. And zero blisters and zero complaints from my kids. Though we use light and mid-weight merino socks according to the season on longer trips - but it works with normal cotton socks on everyday school walks as well.
