This extraordinary mountaineering expedition boot for extreme high-altitude use was developed in close cooperation with Alpinist Ralf Dujmovits, one of the most successful mountaineers worldwide. It is the ideal boot for extreme alpine adventures, for expeditions into the 8,000-meter zone and in arctic climates. The removable GORE-TEX® Duratherm inner boot allows quick drying, and an additional 400 gm Primaloft insulation layer keeps feet warm even in icy temperatures. Completely new is the gaiter construction integrating GORE-TEX® that offers in part an innovative ceramic coating. That guarantees high abrasion resistance and dirt-repellent ability. The zipper is also waterproof. Plus, the proven Vibram® rubber outsole 'Dolent? keeps weight down and offers absolutely secure traction and edging. The sole construction uses an EVA midsole plus a carbon insert, in part for optimal cushioning, but also for utmost stability and rigidity while keeping weight low. This style is compatible with all of today's fully automatic crampon systems, including step-in and hybrid.
