I struggled to find padded shorts without silicone grippers as they irritate me. These are great - although they are really undershorts, they are absolutely fine in length and opacity to wear on their own too. Padding is amazingly comfortable, like sitting on air even after a 100km ride. Definitely not worth spending the extra money for the longer "tights" version of the hotbond where I found the cut on the waist not quite as comfortable.
