Reviews overview
Praise vs. Criticism
Nice grip, Good value
Supportive trekking shoes with excellent grip - not so much abrasion resistant since synthetic material is prone to (minor) damage by rocks at the sides that may affect water resistance in the future.
Overall, comfortable and reassuring shoes to traverse difficult terrain.
- Advantages
- Good grip
- Waterproof
- Price / performance
- Disadvantages
- Not robust
- Recommended use
- Hiking
- Mountaineering
- Trekking
Blistermania
I thought that if I buy the best La Sportiva hiking boot, that it would be amazing. And yes it is, it's lightweight, nimble and very well made, but it is just made for blisters. Maybe my feet are weird, but my La Sportiva Lycan trail shoes are not causing blisters at all. I just tape my feet beforehand to prevent blisters, but in my book this beats the purpose of great shoes.
I am using them for two years so they're fitted, but blisters are still happening.
Kinda confused to be fair...

Hi Pace,
These are suitable for use with either a strap-on binding crampon or semi-automatic binding.
4000m peaks? For fast moving summer alpine use then yes but a better option will be the Trango Tech Leather GTX as it has a better and much less annoying lacing system.
