Game Changer

Tried different soft or medium firm boots, but there is no comparison to this extra firm boot.
Tested it in -20 degrees celsius and 1 meter snow and also used the crampons on the frozen side of the mountain.
All was a bit more that I have been used to, but after 7 hours of trkking in these conditions my feet were warm and dry, and also my legs had all the support they needed.
I really made a great decision.

Hi I would like to buy these boots.
I'm a size 11 UK.
Would I want to go up a size or keep it at size 11?

Hi Paul, I would go up a half EU size for the best fit.

Hi Adrian, thanks, for getting back to me.
I'm going to the himalayas at the end of March for a month of trekking and some climbing.
My old boots were stolen last week so I have to buy a new pair.

I'm sure these boots would be perfect for the himalayas.
My itinerary is mera peak, island peak, goyoko ri Trek, and Everest base camp.
Do yiu think those boots would be okay for that trek?
Many thanks

Hi Paul, I'd say that these will not fit the bill. They'll be too stiff for trekking and not well enough insulated for those over 6,000m peaks. A regular trekking boot will see you through for most of your trip but for the higher peaks you'll be needing something like the Scarpa Phantom 6000.

Hi Adrian ,I'll take a look at the scarpa phantom 6000.
Thanks so much for your help.

Many thanks

Hi Oana, Yes but only if they fit and the only way to know that will be to try on. Thw sidth and volume in this model may be a little too much if you have a very slim foot and if that is the case something women's specfic like the following would be a better choice:

Hi Treasa , The Nepal Extreme is not available in a female version but you could check out both the La Sportiva Women's Nepal Cube GTX or the Scarpa Women's Mont Blanc Pro GTX.
