This is what other customers say:
I used the shoe for 2 months summer climbing in the alps in combination with Petzl irvis hybrid crampons. They work great up to 60 degree snowfields and glacier approaches to alpine rock climbs. Light and nimble and the best shoe in this category by far.
I previously used the Salomon Cross alp which was a similar shoe with integrated gaiter. The sole on the Salomon was not as good for mountaineering when it comes to sole pattern and rubber quality.
The only drawback is that the gaiter wears a bit quickly but that is that flip side of having lightweight gear.

Very good fit and comfort. Really waterproof. The only negative is that they get dirty easily.

My budget is around 330euros and my foot size is eu47 so i should take eu48 for the boots. But with this size i do not have a lot of availabily and options, what would you recommend
Hi Gab,
The Trango Pro GTX is another ultralight mountaineering boot designed for demanding technical terrain with rock and mixed climbing passages.
Again not well enough insulated for your needsunless you will be fast moving on your ascent and descent.
If your budget does not allow you to buy the right tool for the job I would highly recommend you hire boots in Chamonix.
Hi Gab,
The Aequilibrium Speed GTX are an extremely light weight, mountaineering boot designed for fast moving technical ascents.
Basically , these are not well enough insulated for Mont Blanc. You'd be better looking at the likes of the Scarpa Mont Blanc or the La Sportiva Nepal Evo GTX.
Hi,
I have a very wide toebox. My feet length I 25.3 cm
Normally, with narrow shoes I need to wear US9.5 (27-27.5 cm) for some wide shoes which as altra Olympus I will go for US8 or 8.5 (26-25.5)
Any recommendation for my size on Aequilibrium Speed?
Hi Kuo-Yang,
Absolutely precise size advice is unfortunately not possible in an online shop, but I would choose half a size larger than at Altra.
You are also welcome to order several sizes to choose from and return any that don't fit to us.
Best regards,
Marco
Excellent summer alpine/mountaineering/scrambling boot - light and comfortable, feels great climbing Diff trad routes that don't quite need climbing shoes but would feel clunky in B2s.
Unlikely to be stiff enough for winter climbing, but great on rock and really comfortable for walking.
