Grip when paths get slippery
The Women’s X-Talon Pro by Inov8 is a trail running shoe designed for wet, rocky and muddy ground. Its StickyGrip sole provides plenty of grip on wet, loose surfaces, whilst the 8 mm cleat depth further enhances grip on soft ground and in mud. This model is therefore clearly designed for challenging trail conditions and really comes into its own where the ground can be changeable and slippery.
Soft cushioning and a responsive ride
The breathable synthetic upper helps maintain a comfortable foot environment when things get intense on the trail. Added to this is an EVA Powerflow midsole, which provides cushioning and a more comfortable running experience. The EVA footbed with a removable insole enhances comfort and can be swapped for your own insole if required. With a 4 mm drop and 21 mm stack height at the heel, the shoe has a fairly compact design and delivers a more direct running feel.
Reinforced toes for added protection
The reinforced toes are practical on rough terrain, offering extra protection in the toe area should you encounter stones or roots. The classic lacing allows you to adjust the fit to suit your needs. This makes the shoe well suited to alpine trails and sections of mud where, in addition to grip, a more robust forefoot is required. As a result, the Women’s X-Talon Pro remains functionally tailored to the exact conditions it is designed for.
