Great boot for summer hiking & scrambling
This is my 3rd pair of Alvanstone boots, with the last 2 purchased in the wide option, size 46.5. Really great for Scottish trekking and hiking, with scrambling and a bit of summer climbing. The rocker heel makes for a fast foot on the trails leading in, with the supportive sole and ankle unit providing good platform for loose rock or scree. I've used this boot on all of the Munro's on the Isle of Skye and the only drawback I can find is they wear down quickly on the hard gabbro rock. After five 1000 metre days high on the Cuillins, I still had no blisters! Tip: use with Sidas insoles and Darn Tough socks.
