DMM - Raptor - Ice axe

Built for demanding alpine pursuits, knife-edge snow ridges and steep climbs - the Raptor ice axe from DMM!


For use in steep ice, the shaft is slightly curved, but straight at the bottom so that the spike can penetrate snow with ease. The high-quality steel pick is hot forged and serrated on the bottom and sharpened on the top for easy removal from ice. The picks are interchangeable as well, so you can attach an adze or hammer.


The rubberised handle on the shaft is grippy and the and comes equipped with a leash just in case you drop it. Plus, it makes it easier to climb in steep terrain. The Raptor is suitable for steep terrain and affords excellent penetration even in brittle ice.
